The Lumiere Research Scholar Program is one of those art research opportunities for high school students that offers you the chance to conduct independent research in art under the guidance of experienced PhD mentors.

The University of Nairobi endeavors to create an environment where all students despite their financial background can learn and excel to become holistic graduates and contribute to the development of the nation.

Any African American undergraduate student or high school student accepted to a college or university who is majoring in art or art history may apply for this scholarship. While painters are preferred, all art forms (visual art, sculpture, photography, etc.) are encouraged to apply.

Any moderate-to-low-income high school or undergraduate student who is majoring in theater and/or performing arts may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
